BIBLE EXPLORE / NEW TESTAMENT / REVELATION
Book of Revelation
The Book of Revelation is the final book of the New Testament and the Christian Bible. Its title is derived from the first word of the Koine Greek text: apokalypsis, meaning "unveiling" or "revelation". The Book of Revelation is the only apocalyptic book in the New Testament, and takes a central place in Christian eschatology (the end of the age, things that happen at the end of the world).
In Revelation, John's visions reveal that Jesus has overcome evil by his death and resurrection, and will return one day as the true king of the world.
